Hi, thanks for taking the time to talk to us today. 2022 is almost over, we want to know what is your most important highlight of the year, both musically and personally?

We’ve had a strong year and reached some great landmarks… Our event brand ‘Love to Be…’ has toured globally with sell out parties in the USA, Ibiza, Portugal and around the U.K, the radio show has reached over 100 stations globally across 30 stations and reached over 7 million weekly and the record label has been supported by some major names. As Trimtone, we have had a great output of releases and signed to stellar labels like Simma Black, Peppermint Jam, Salted and Wh0 Plays which has let to us being voted in the Traxsource year-end poll top 500 artists and we have played some great shows from Chicago to Amsterdam, Newcastle to Ibiza and some top festivals over the summer months.

What was your favorite release of 2022 (of your own)?

‘I Belong to U’, our most recent track that’s dropping back end of December.

And what was your favorite track of the year from someone else?

Wh0 – ‘Feels’, it’s been going off all year for us…

Did you have any special standout shows this year either that you played or attended?

Our Chicago debut was pretty special in April and our Ibiza residency over the summer which our ‘Love to Be…’ brand partnered with WNDRLND on at Eden.

What was the biggest lesson you learned in life 2022?

Don’t use a budget airline in the U.S.A and stick to 1 course in Las Vegas restaurants $$$$$$$ Hahaha..

And following on, what was the biggest lesson you learned in music?

Don’t get stuck in your ways and always keep an open mind when producing and try new styles and techniques.

If you could send yourself a message to you 5 years ago, what would it be and why?

Share your music with other labels and push to get them signed to them, as well as your own to widen your fanbase…

How has your sound developed in 2022?

We’ve changed to Studio 1 which has improved our sound overall and we feel our sound has progressed to a more peak time energetic style.

Which label or labels do you think where at the top of their game in 2022?

Defected always a shout but the American labels came back to the fore (King St/ Salted / Nervous /Henry St) and labels with great output and quality such as Motive, Groove Culture and Simma Black.

If any, do you have any regrets for the year behind us?

Not really, personally had a great year!

What are your plans for the holidays?

Lots of family time, food and drink and no doubt lots of visits to the studio.

Just for fun, if you had to take a classic Christmas song and remix it, what style would it be and what could we expect?

‘Christmas Wrapping’ by The Waitresses… Lively old track which would be remixed into a high energy pumper hahah…

Where will you be spending New Year’s Eve?

We’re DJing to thousands on NYE doing a ‘Love to be…’ live stream with some great DJs from around the world via the ‘Love to be…’ Youtube channel.

If you had to put 2022 into one sentence, what would it be?

We’re glad to be back flying the House music flag with ‘Love to Be…’ and Trimtone after some tough years for everyone in lockdown and still bringing the joy of music in challenging times.
