On Thursday November 12 a woman had reportedly gone overboard during the Mad Decent Boat Party. The boat departed from Miami on November 11 and planned to arrive at Cozumel, Mexico on November 15.

The Norwegian Cruise Line was sailing through the Yucatan Channel when witnesses said that the woman intentionally jumped off of the boat at around 7pm. The US Coast Guard are scouring the area, 22 nautical miles off the coast of Cuba, for the still missing woman.

As of Friday morning, the boat party has been canceled and will be making its way back to Miami.

Diplo and friends and the record label have issued a statement regarding the incident:

On Thursday, Nov. 12, during a chartered cruise on Norwegian Pearl, a female guest was observed intentionally going overboard while the ship was sailing the Yucatan Channel. The ship’s crew immediately initiated rescue measures, including deploying three rescue boats and notifying the Coast Guard and other relevant authorities. The search for the guest is ongoing. Both the ship and charter company teams are providing support to the family and all impacted guests during this difficult time.
