Welcome to FØRGE: The New Club Coming to Sheffield

A new nightclub is opening in Sheffield next month. Located in a former Victorian steel forge on Effingham Road, FØRGE overlooks Sheffield & Tinsley Canal. The venue, which will run until 6 A.M., will feature a Pioneer sound system and LED lighting rig. The club will also primarily focus on artists within the U.K. techno scene.

The opening party is set for September 16th with British influential artist Dax J, rising star IMOGEN, and the formidable Boxia from the Drumcode roster. Featured in the Workroom and representing Sheffield’s local scene will also be the promising local DJs alex.aubyn, Chapel Walk, Colecta, Fen, Porter Brook, and STI. FØRGE will also be a cashless venue.

“There are great venues here in Sheffield, a real history and community,” venue director Richard Welch told Mixmag. “Perhaps what makes us different is our space. It’s unconventional as a music venue, but that’s the attraction. We hope to bring something different to Sheffield, that was always our intention.”
