Vaccinated? Well, you could get a free Lollapalooza ticket. With Chicago having officially reopened, the city is offering locals a brand new incentive to get vaccinated: free Lollapalooza tickets. In a press conference last Friday, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced that 1,200 single-day passes will be distributed between four different vaccination sites on Saturday, June 26.
Each vaccination site will correspond to a different day of the fest. To get people even more in the mood, the vaccination sites will have DJ performances and Lolla branded merch giveaways for people getting their vaccines. The winners of the passes will be able to pick them up at the Chicago House of Blues concert event on July 10.
Along with the House of Blues event, Chicago-based hip-hop collective Savemoney, founded by Vic Mensa will be performing at Chicago State University on July 1, people can catch the show if they sign up for a vaccine appointment. Fully vaccinated people can grab tickets on June 18.
No walk-in appointments will be accepted for the June 26 giveaway day but Chicago locals can make an appointment here. Already vaccinated people will also be eligible for the giveaway through the Chicago Department of Public Health’s website and social media on June 27.
