As we inch our way through winter, Ibiza is gearing up for a new season and announcements of opening parties and residency line-ups are starting to flair up.
Ushuaïa Ibiza, the island’s biggest outdoor party venue, has announced an Opening Party lineup that veers away from the EDM-centric names it often houses throughout the season by focusing purely on a roster of underground stars. While ENTER.Ibiza is no more, the brand’s head-honcho Richie Hawtin will be headlining the celebrations, accompanied by a supporting stars of excellence. In alphabetical order, he is joined by Andrea Oliva, the mind behind the Ants Colony concept, Rumor’s Guy Gerber, ENTER.Sake’s Hito, Hot Since 82, La Familia’s Joris Voorn, Los Suruba and last but not least Maya Jane Coles.
The party doors will open at 12pm on Saturday May 28th, with tickets ranging between 40,00 € for early entry and 60,00 € for regular ticket.
Although no information has been provided, the event flyer not only bears Hawtin’s M_nus logo but also the label’s signature colors and style. It will be interesting to see how things shift on the island this year, after news came out that Ushuaïa Ibiza is purchasing the iconic Space Ibiza across the street, a move that coincided with Carl Cox’s announcement to not return to the club in 2017 and Hawtin’s decision to not continue ENTER.Ibiza altogether.
