Top Ten Tracks with Space 92: My 10 Favorite Acid/Techno Tracks Ever

Despite 2020’s unprecedented circumstances, the year proved to be highly significant for Mathieu Mourareau’s newly established Space 92 techno pseudonym, achieving numerous Beatport hits with tracks such as his remix of the Twins Project’s ‘Bass In Your Face’, his original ‘Phobos’ and his YellowHeads collaboration ‘Planet X’, which became Beatport’s best-selling techno track of the year and held the #1 spot for four consecutive months.

Fast-forward to the present, the talented Frenchman is looking to continue his fine form throughout 2021 with a whole host of stellar releases including his impressive solo Atlas EP impending on Filth on Acid which features three searing new tracks that will blow up any club.

In honor of the release, Space 92 shares his top ten acid and techno tracks of all time.

Enjoy the playlist:

01. Christian Smith, John Selway – ‘Transit Time’ (Dubfire Remix)

This track was one of my favourites back in the days when I started producing and DJing. This Dubfire remix version offered a pure special atmosphere with big, dark spoken vocals that I still love so much.

02. Stephan Bodzin – Wir

The pure definition of what I envision sonically and musically when I think about space.

03. T78 – Megator

I’ve always enjoyed T78’s productions; this track is very simple but so effective. The vocals are awesome, with a solid dirty groove. They really hit the spot.

04. Reinier Zonneveld – Eating Concrete (Original Mix)

The definition of today’s Acid for me. There’s a solid Acid Techno stab percussion in there that adds a lot of aggressiveness to the groove. Love it.

05. Julian Jeweil & Popof – Carbon (Original Mix)

I’ve always loved Julian & Popof’s production. In this track we can find the perfect combo for some solid Techno groove with an amazing Acid touch.

06. Charlotte de Witte – Time

Love the stab percussion tones on this one; it brings lots of energy to this amazing classic Acid Techno track that I used to play a lot.

07. Monolink – Return To Oz (ARTBAT Remix)

I’ve always been a fan of Artbat; my favorite is this remix of Monolink. For me, it illustrates a spacey as well as a Techno atmosphere. The synth sounds come from another planet and the groove is just too good. I never get bored with this one.

08. Veerus – Wheel (Original Mix)

I played this track a lot in the past, I really like Veerus’ groove – especially his kick bass combo that works very well to give maximum energy to a set. The up and down percussion melody is definitely the key of this track. Simple, but very powerful.

09. Umek – Anomalies in Heart Rate (Original Mix)

I’ve been a fan of Umek’s work since I was a kid. This track is the perfect mix between Acid and new Techno pumping groove.

10. Alignment – Injection (Original Mix)

Alignment always finds the right elements in his productions. Injection is one of the tracks I like the most from him. The synth melody is very rhythmic, very energetic.
