The Amsterdam-based man of many faces and many talents has brought forth a punchy double number on Drumcode Limited, the vinyl-only adjunct of Adam Beyer’s label. Signed to Get Physical Recordings and Rejected with over twenty years of experience on the decks, Steve Rachmad is a kind of musical chameleon when it comes to throwing down jams ranging from disco to house to his truer than true techno alias Sterac.
The two drum-driven tracks for Drumcode Limited’s #15 press make for a power couple vinyl release. The first track titled Disturbance opens fair and square with rolling drums and wobbly synths, momentarily taking a breather from the bodacious kicks before returning to baseline. The second track Steps is a subtle play on onomatopoeia that takes the listener on a spacey journey down acid synth lane, alternating with each step of the drum.
Disturbance/Steps is available in physical format only through Decks.
