SoundCloud and Dolby have teamed up to provide users of the streaming and music hosting platform with a brand-new service: audio mastering.
For just $4.99 per track, artists can now take advantage of SoundCloud’s built-in mastering service powered by Dolby, and users will be able to do so without even leaving the SoundCloud desktop platform.
“Mastering on Soundcloud” will operate on a flat fee basis regardless of the file type or quality. Further, subscribers to the platform’s Pro Unlimited tier for creators will get three free masters per month, with the option to purchase more at the discounted price of $3.99 a pop, encouraging artists who master multiple tracks a month to upgrade.

As an added feature, artists can even test the new feature for free before taking the plunge and purchasing their first mastering service.
