The DJ and music production software company first entered the music-making software market in 2019 with Serato Studio. The DAW-style software was designed to help DJs who want to make music without the steep learning curve of most modern DAWs.

The 2023 update promises to provide “a robust home for the revolutionary Serato Stems technology”, Serato’s new stem separation tools that launched last year, and has been created using their “one-of-a-kind machine-learning algorithm”.

Equipped with this new audio separation tool, Serato Studio 2.0 now features buttons above the waveform that allow you to isolate the vocals, melody, bass or drums from any track. Watch an intro video about Serato Studio 2.0 below.

The software is priced at $9.99 a month. As Serato note, all 14-day free trials have been reset for the Studio 2.0 launch. Visit the Serato site for more info here.

Last year, Serato DJ Pro added support for Pioneer’s popular all-in-one unit the XDJ-RX3. In 2022, the audio production company also launched two new Serato controllers, the DDJ-REV-1 and the DDJ-REV-7.
