RESET 6100 Urban Sports, Arts, & Music Festival returns to Bacolod City

RESET 6100 Urban Arts & Music Festival has officially announced their date and venue for this year’s return in Bacolod City, Philippines. On May 30th, 2015 the city of smiles will RESET at the EAT DISTRICT, LACSON ST., BACOLOD CITY at the old Coca-Cola Plant, an indoor/outdoor venue that will hold 5,000 expected attendees. The annual end of Summer festival is aimed to give people one last celebration before Summer season ends in the Philippines (Summers in Philippines are between the months of March-May).

RESET separates itself from other festivals by featuring various activities beyond the music. RESET incorporates urban sports and arts in addition to music that showcases eclectic and underground talents; an unconventional approach compared to any festival gathering currently taking place in the Philippines.

This year’s theme is ‘TRANSENDENCE’ — defined as ‘experience beyond the normal or physical’. Festival goers can be certain that experiencing the wide range of sights and sounds at Reset 6100 will have them feeling euphoric. At Reset 6100 one can expect to dance and groove the night away to the sounds and sights of live bands and DJs, a drum circle, drum and bugle corps, ledge dancers, Masskara dancers, and much more entertainment. This year’s festival will be bigger and more interactive.

Get a visual fix with the amazing crafts of different painters, illustrators, 3D artists, graffiti artists, tattoo artists, local clothing and lifestyle lines, and more. For an adrenaline rush, make sure to catch the long-boarding, skateboarding, BMX and fixed gear bicycle, and kite flying exhibitions.

When asked about the assortment of artists Reset 6100 helps to show, Festival Director Clyde Harris had this to say:

“Reset is a fresh concept that focuses to help the underground scenes of sports, arts and music. We have so many talents in Bacolod City that need to be exposed. In a way, Reset can be a channel for these artists for their talents or skills to be noticed from people from outside Bacolod or Negros Island. For some, Reset was created to help save the artists and their scenes. We are here to help and Reset will always be an outlet for everyone that comes through the doors to experience it.

Reset’s success really thrives on the support of our local community—everyone involved wanting to prove that Bacolod plays a major role in the art industry of the Philippines and everyone wanted to show the whole world that we have a vibrant arts and music scene in the city of smiles.”

Tickets are expected to go on sale soon. For more information about the event and how you could participate message RESET 6100 on the official Facebook Page or comment directly on the event page. Be sure to follow their Instagram for exclusive updates and amazing artwork submissions.
