Following a blistering start to 2018, Tom Hades releases another statement of intent with his remix of Highest Point’s ‘Apogee’. Featuring on a four-track EP, Hades’ remix delivers 7-minutes of peak-time madness. Having released on a host of Techno based labels, he now makes his debut on the London based, Subfigure.
As with all of Hades’ productions, the remix sets the tone from the start. Kicking off with pounding kick drums and the straight down the line bass, that Tom has become well known for producing. Injecting a more industrial feel to ‘Apogee’, Hades’ allows the original vocal sample to echo out during the breakdown before taking things up a gear and once again delivering the forceful low end.
Looking towards the second half of the year, the first 6 months has seen Tom Hades release on labels such as OFF Recordings, Filth On Acid and Unknown Territory. With 2018 is shaping up to be a strong year for the Belgian producer, we look forward to hearing where his unique style of Techno will appear next.
