Pangea‘s first release of 2019 is a masterpiece downtempo and progressive break by the Dark Architect a.k.a Craig Townsend.
Craig is no stranger to the dance music scene, having composed music and remixes for esteemed labels like Bonzai, AH Digital, Landscape Music, DandR Digital, Mystic Carousel and Baroque Records to name a few. ‘Cough and Laugh’ is not your average breaks track, it builds up gradually with a brooding bass line and a piano riff that gives the listener a memorable audible experience upon listening. Upon finishing ‘Cough and Laugh’, you discover that Dark Architect is a fitting name for Craig because the piano riff will haunt you for days after listening to it.
A more dance floor ready version comes courtesy of Argentina’s John Joseph and Javier Benitez. Both recently turned heads with their release on the We Are Here music label, which also featured Amber Long and legend Nick Muir, one half of the duo Bedrock along with superstar DJ/Producer John Digweed. Here, John and Javier deliver their first work on Pangea with a stellar techno remake of ‘Cough and Laugh’, which compliments the Original Mix with its drive and energy.
