Paco Osuna LIVE at Beatport Berlin – TUNE IN NOW

Tune in to the Beatport LIVE feed here

Spanning his 20-year career, Paco Osuna, 40, has always fostered a genuine love for dance music. Throughout the ’90s, the Barcelona-based techno kingpin spent time developing his craft, working in record shops and haunting Spanish nightclubs for a glimpse of what the future held. In 1999, he got his first big break, scoring a coveted residency at Amnesia Ibiza where he was able to establish his own unique electronic sound. From there, German techno legend Sven Väth plucked him up and became his mentor. Since then, Osuna’s musical focus has shifted from house to techno, but his passion for electronic music has never wavered.

“The bassline is my obsession,” he explains. “It’s the key ingredient to making picture-perfect techno and playing incredible, unflaggingly energetic DJ sets.”

Over the years Paco Osuna has achieved a great deal, which is reflected in his popularity as an artist and producer. In a continual evolution of his sound, he has managed to coat the purest minimalist sounds, combining them with his most characteristic fibers; depth, darkness and intelligence. Through his passion and intensity, Paco has made people in the scene take note of his creativity and innovation, always telling a story and establishing a connection with those who hear him play. Throughout his career he has shown himself to be, without a shadow of a doubt, our prime international ambassador. Over the last few years he has been awarded several of the most important prizes going in our country: ‘Best Artist’ and ‘Best Techno DJ’ (Vicious Awards, 2011); ‘Best Artist’, ‘Best Producer’ and ‘Best Remix’: ‘Plastikman- Ethnik’ (DJ Mag Awards, 2011); ‘Best Artist’ (Deejay Awards); ‘Artist of the Year’, ‘Best National Artist’ and ‘Best Techno DJ’ (Vicious Awards, 2012); ‘Artist of the Year’ (Ritmos XXL, 2012), etc.
