Barcelona is the place to be in June. As one of the clubbing mecca’s of Europe, the city plays host to Sonar, and with years of the festival’s success it was only natural that it would grow into something larger. As a result, “OFF Week” was born. Throughout OFF Week there are hundreds of events that take place across a plethora of venues, each providing something unique for locals and music tourists.
OFF Week 2016 takes to the clubs, terraces, and pools for a week of endless options to satisfy even the most seasoned dance purist. We’ve compiled a brief list of events that we would add to our OFF Week agenda, and if you’re on the fence about any parties take a look at our guide to help get you started.

Editors Note: FACT is back at OFF Sonar for their annual pool series, and per usual, it’s five days of some of the most heavy hitting lineups of OFF Week. The five days will feature showcases from the likes of Cocoon, Mobilee,Watergate, Lola ED vs Half Baked, and a grand finale with FACT vs WetYourSelf. With such an eclectic mix of artists there will be no shortage of musical entertainment for the week, and frankly, we could spend all week here and not be disappointed.

Editor’s Note: In the marathon that is OFF-Week there is no shortage of great showcases. The A:rpia:r Showcase with the core crew is a must for any serious enthusiast of minimal and house. Spending an afternoon listening to the unique selection of the aforementioned artists sounds like a perfect way to start a day/night in Barcelona.

Editors Note: Richie Hawtin’s annual pop-up party at OFF Week has become an unofficial staple of the year. Hawtin generally updates his fan-base on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram, and takes over a portion of the city for the ultimate techno extravaganza. It’s not uncommon for people to gather in the thousands to see the Minus man deliver his signature style of slick minimal techno while basking in the warm Spanish sun.

Editors Note: El Row is one of the long standing event promoters in Barcelona providing artists and attendees the ultimate fiesta, which is why it’s appropriate that they host their famed Singer Morning Festival to end OFF Sonar 2016. Although extraordinary, videos just can’t do justice to the atmosphere that is experienced at an El Row event. El Row returns to it’s origins as an afterhours for the OFF Week Special with the event starting at 9:00AM and running until they say it’s over. With a widely eclectic lineup of residents and some of the industry’s best such as Guti, Adam Shelton, Marco Faraone, and more, it will be one of the best events to attend during OFF Week. Tickets are currently sold out, but we strongly advise finding a way to attend this closing party.
