The Beirut Berghain regular and fast ascending German producer worked with a team of directors, stylists and dancers from Germany and Ukraine for the video. Originally inspired by the borders that held us back during quarantine, the production evolved into a raw portrayal of the struggles shared and experienced by each member of the creative team. Bound by ropes and cloth, the dancers wearily fight for their freedom and are pictured jadedly moving throughout a desolate building, before finding each other and gaining strength in their reunion.
Daniel Rubinstein, the 26 year old director from Kyiv, collaborated with Nur, Alisha & others via zoom in the run upto shooting the anthemic video – “[It is] the story of the rebirth of people through the love of life and dance. They were bound by borders, they were bound by the closure of countries and the rules of governments. But, the pursuit of life shatters all fetters”.
A special message from Nur & Luca expressed their gratitude to everyone involved; “We had the most beautiful, magical and emotional time with the video team! You guys expressed the visual aspect of this song in such a perfect way and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with you. Thank you!”
