DJ and producer Lucid Distraction has launched his new Los Angeles-based independent record label: Native Boundaries. After having some releases of his own, Lucid Distraction decided to reach out to eight other artists from around the United States for his first VA Compilation, ‘Native Boundaries VA 001’.
The Native Boundaries Collective started in 2018 as an Instagram page dedicated to sharing deep house tunes from around the world. Since then, the brand and sound has evolved quite a bit. Over the last couple of years, Native Boundaries has been a party and mix series, throwing events around Southern California. The label specializes in groove-driven house music with energetic electronic breaks and acid influences with deep basslines.
Native Boundaries caters to dance music fans who are seeking something unconventional, yet cutting edge on the dance floor. The label has worked with some talented artists in the past as part of their parties and mix series. These include Cooper Saver, Etari, Drew Dapps, and more.
If you’re in the mood for playful rhythms and deep grooves, then you’re in the right place. ‘Native Boundaries VA 001’ is a culmination of progression throughout the years, featuring elements of minimal, deep, lofi, dub, and acid house. Every track brings high energy, and lends its own flavor to the label’s evolving sound that is pulse of the Los Angeles underground.
