Mexico’s RHA Fest Drops Lineup Featuring Green Velvet, Claptone, Catz ‘n Dogz and more

A new Mexican festival is set to debut this year, as RHA Festival drops its inaugural lineup for the event taking place in Punta Mita in the Riviera Nayarit.

This new festival experience in the sands of the famed Punta Mita Resort is just two hours from Southern California, making it an accessible festival for people across the border too. RHA means water flowing in wixárika, the language of the indigenous people of Mexico’s Nayarit region. Flow, is a reference that tells us about their journey of life. The water that flows, the water that evaporates, the water that rains and returns.

The lineup, which came out today includes Green Velvet, Claptone, Dimitri From Paris Purple Disco Machine, Doc Martin, Catz ‘N Dogz, Walker & Royce, Marques Wyatt, Jay Tripwire and more. See full flyer below:

As the festival itself points out:

“RHA Festival will take place in one of the most beautiful, scenic settings, worldwide: a beachfront on the Pacific Coast in the Riviera Nayarit, a land of wixárikas indigenous cultural heritage. The Riviera Nayarit contains 200 miles of pristine coastline, off the well trodden tourist track. RHA will debut in the famed Punta Mita resort, a self-contained Pacific paradise, that used to be a fishing village, and has been transported into a series enclosed collection of boutique resort offerings, catering to travelers of all tropes.

The main days of RHA Festival will take place on June 30 and July 1, and see some of house music’s finest performing on an immaculate ocean front location, just minutes away from festival accommodations. After a day relaxing and taking advantage of resort amenities, attendees will catch a sunset set at the festival, before dancing deep into the night on the beach under the stars. The RHA Festival runs for two days, but the RHA Experience will include intimate concert and DJ performances at famed beachfront restaurants, a July 2 Pool Party at the incredible St Regis Oceanfront pool, Marques Wyatt’s famed sunset yoga/dance sessions (led by an amazing yoga teacher) and a July 4 firework display and beach party.”

Outside of musical programing Punta Mita offers world class surfing and a full water sports program, the UNESCO protected Marietas Islands and picturesque beachfront pueblos, all surrounded by the deep blue seas of the Pacific and the spectacular Sierra Madrea Mountains. Attendees can explore the sites with the preferred local mode of transport – private golf cart. All of this makes it an attractive offering for techno and house fans located in Mexico, SoCal and elsewhere!
