Lightning In A Bottle, the premier boutique music festival in North America, has recently unveiled its musical lineup for its 2018 event. This is being publicized as a wide-reaching lineup of some of most sought-after names in the techno music genre in what is to be a diverse and beautifully unpredictable experience.
This year’s Lightning Stage will be graced by the likes of Anderson Paak & The Free Nationals, Zhu, Griz, Fever Ray, The Glitch Mob, Sofi Tukker, Tune-Yards, Beats Antique, or Tokimonsta; at the Thunder Stage with Tipper, Modeselektor (DJ Set), Emancipator, Sango, Giraffage, Bleep Bloop, Clozee, and Random Rab, or at the waterfront house and techno haven, the Woogie Stage with Nicole Moudaber, The Black Madonna, MK, Stimming, Rodriguez Jr (live), Yotto, Patrice Baumel, Purple Disco Machine, Oona Dahl, Mira, Viken Arman, and more.
In a statement, Lightning in a Bottle music director and co-founder Jesse Flemming said, “We’re definitely not trying to play the same game we are seeing with all the massive festivals these days…For us the goal is to craft a musical playlist that will perfectly guide people along the experience we’re trying to create. We book each stage to be its own separate journey on any given day and we try to diversify it as much as possible so when you’re wandering around during the weekend you can always find something just right for you. This has been our goal since day one and it continues to shape how we book today.”
Alongside the otherworldly musical environments, there will also be immersive installation art, cause-driven educational programming, and a sprawling lakeside venue that defines the Lightning in a Bottle experience. These elements have helped foster a community that has emerged beyond the festival gates and into the everyday of its followers over the years since it began.
“Beyond the music, we have always searched for innovation within what you expect to find at a music festival. From art to workshops, to yoga and meditation, to the 5k race and the Soap Box derby, we are committed to showing you something outrageous and awe inspiring at every step of the way. This year is no exception as we have some big announcements coming up around the speakers and workshops in the Compass and Learning Kitchen, as well as a groundbreaking collaborative art project spanning the entire festival grounds,” said Do LaB Marketing Director Jesse “Y2” Shannon.
Lightining in a Bottle Festival will be happening on May 23-28 in Lake San Antonio, Bradley, California. Tickets are now on sale so you can purchase or get additional information about the festival at lightninginabottle.org.
