Life is Beautiful Festival is Returning to Las Vegas in September

Life is Beautiful music festival is set to resume later this year after being canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic. Variety reports record sales in three-day passes for the event covering September 17 to 19, showing optimism and hopefulness among many festival-goers.

The festival also boasts an impressive lineup, with artists such as Billie Eilish, Tame Impala, and A$AP Rocky making appearances alongside major electronic music artists like Dillon Francis and ILLENIUM to headline the event. As excitement for this well-loved and much-anticipated Las Vegas festival builds after a year of quarantines and lockdowns, remembering what it’s all about garners a greater appreciation for such opportunities to celebrate.

The Start of Life is Beautiful

This Las Vegas festival began with the goal of spreading inspiration and positivity. The 2013 Life is Beautiful festival in downtown Las Vegas featured big names like Kanye West, Stevie Wonder, Foo Fighters, and Post Malone, while equally distinguished speakers like Bill Nye and RuPaul Charles were welcomed onstage as well.

The home of the festival has always been Las Vegas, stretching out over multiple blocks and into the heart of downtown Sin City. While some festivals like Burning Man are typically held in the middle of nowhere, Life is Beautiful is right in the heart of Las Vegas. Indeed, a Vegas post by Poker.org points out how there’s no shortage of things to do in the city — whether you enjoy the colorful slot machines in casinos or love to visit high-end restaurants along the Strip. This gives this particular Las Vegas festival an easy edge compared to other festivals across the country. Choosing Life is Beautiful is more than just choosing a festival; it’s choosing an experience.

Music, Comedy, and More

More than just music, Life is Beautiful is also full of art. Exhibits include impressive murals and interactive sculptures, both from local and international artists. The result is a global art experience that leaves the community a more meaningful and beautiful place.

Laughs are also abundant at Life is Beautiful as comedians have a stage of their own to spread joy and find common ground. Some of the biggest comedic talents to featured on the festival’s 2018 lineup were Trixie Mattel from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Pete Davidson, and Jimmy Yang (Silicon Valley, HBO).

And of course, a festival wouldn’t be complete without a colorful food scene. The flavors featured at Life is Beautiful are nothing short of world-class. Guests can choose from a selection of food from over 70 restaurants, food trucks, chefs, and mixologists for a top-notch gastronomic experience.

Making Life Beautiful Once Again

Preparations for the festival are well underway, but it isn’t without its challenges. There’s tremendous pressure on the event as one of the first musical events to open up post-COVID in 2021, especially when you have world-renowned dance music headliners like San Holo playing, who was featured in our piece on The Amsterdam Dance Event. However, leading the way in opening festivals once again is a sign of hope and optimism for Life is Beautiful organizers, attendees, and the general public. It gives many people something to look forward to after one of the toughest years to date, alongside a sense of normalcy and positivity that a memorable weekend in Vegas can bring.
