Job Title: Social Media Associate Intern to Hior

Hours: 5 – 10 hours per week (Monday – Friday, one to two hours per day)

Job Summary:
The Social Media Associate Intern will be working closely with our Content Director supporting Social Media content creation throughout 6AM’s social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube platforms. The position will play an important part in creating and delivering quality content to our audience while increasing visibility within our industry. Further, the Social Media Associate Intern will act as Community Manager for the 6AM Community, interacting with followers and visitors to the 6AM social media channels.

Diligence, positive demeanor, and reliability are crucial to this role.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Identify social media viral trends to magnify exposure on 6AM channels
  • Design and creation of social media content and infographics from articles posted on the 6AM site
  • Developing video content from existing assets, with a focus on IG Reels
  • Daily posting of pre-existing 6AM content on all social media channels, including but not limited to track premieres, mixes, articles, and more.
  • Uploading YouTube videos on the 6AM YouTube page.
  • Monitor postings to ensure brand message is constant from the terminology used to images posted
  • Interact with followers and potential customers by communicating and answering questions through the company’s social pages
  • Assist in implementing plans to increase followers on popular social media websites such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
  • Keep a pulse on industry trends
  • Provide recommendations based on online best practices
  • Assist with metrics and reporting

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Passionate about house and techno culture with a strong desire to make meaningful contributions to the industry
  • Self-starter with a go-getter attitude
  • Can take direction and run with tasks but also isn’t afraid to ask questions
  • Enthusiastic energy and a willingness to learn
  • Strong familiarity with social media networks from branding, business and community management perspectives.
  • Knows how to be a team player (leave the ego at the door)
  • Effective communicator (very good comprehension of English and strong writing skills)
  • Tech/computer savvy and active on social media
  • Willing to WORK hard, WORK smart and WORK together

PLEASE NOTE: This is a 3-month Internship position, with the goal of hiring part-time once 6AM events are back this summer.
