Job Title: Digital Content Associate (Intern to Hire)

Hours: 15 – 20 hours per week (Monday – Friday, three to four hours per day)

Job Summary:
The Digital Content Associate Intern will be working closely with our Editor-in-Chief supporting content creation throughout 6AM’s digital platforms, specifically with SoundCloud and its website. The position will play an important part in sharing quality content with our audience while increasing visibility within our industry.

Diligence, positive demeanor, and reliability are crucial to this role.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Support music premieres uploading content on SoundCloud
• Scheduling social content across social networks to position 6AM as a music industry thought-leader
• Write well-structured House + Techno related articles in WordPress on deadline (style, fonts, images, and tone)
• Engage with online communities by sharing thought-provoking, culturally relevant, and industry appropriate content
• Keep a pulse on music industry and social media trends
• Assist with metrics and reporting
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic

Qualifications and Skills:

• Passionate about house and techno culture with a strong desire to make meaningful contributions to the industry
• Self-starter with a go-getter attitude
• Avid social media user  (Facebook groups, Reddit, Discord, TikTok, Twitter–the whole nine yards)
• Can take direction and run with tasks but also isn’t afraid to ask questions
• Enthusiastic energy and a willingness to learn
• Familiarity with content management systems, WordPress a plus
• Able to follow templates to ensure consistency
• Knowledge of keyword research and SEO guidelines
• Knows how to be a team player (leave the ego at the door)
• Effective communicator (very good comprehension of English and strong writing skills)
• Tech/computer savvy
• Willing to WORK hard, WORK smart and WORK together
