It’s Not About What You Are In Life But Who

I want to start the week, on a Monday, by telling you that Mondays don’t have to suck. In fact, they can be the best day of the week, if lived with purpose.

I know we are all dealing with a lot this year, and I will not pretend that there isn’t a lot we will have to deal with in the months to come.

There is a quote I always keep in mind:

“It’s not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it.” – Seneca

In the least 4 months we have fought very hard, together, in an unprecedented display of global and national courage, justice, discipline and wisdom.

We have saved countless from COVID-19 and we are righting wrongs that should have been addressed decades and centuries ago. One day at a time, one step at a time.

But don’t forget: it’s not over until it’s over. We must keep up the good fight and do what’s right by our fellow humans.

“We live in a world with plenty to fear: economic downturn, global conflict, and of course, the COVID-19 pandemic. Things are scary and their potential consequences loom before us. What will happen is not ours to decide. But who we are matters more. Events are not our call, but the rules we decide to follow are. So don’t be afraid, work hard, give back and be good.” – Ryan Holiday

So… today, on a Monday, be sure to find that purpose within you, to do your best and to give it all you got. If you want to endure and overcome obstacles, remember that it’s not about what you are in life but who.

Have a great rest of your Monday, and a great week!
