Ever since its inception in Toronto in 2013, Electric Island has grown in size and global prominence among the electronic music community. This year, organizers promise a bigger edition of Electric Island as it partners with Embrace, Footwork and Platform to bring the industry’s biggest names to this event.
Electric Island will have 5 events taking place on Sunday, May 20; Sunday, July 1; Saturday, August 11; Sunday, September 2; and Monday, September 3.
For the 6th edition, organizers have announced the participation of Brazilian techno artist ANNA, Moscow Records/Moss Co./Arkityp Records head Archie Hamilton, Billy Kenny, South African producer Black Coffee, Toronto maestros Carlo Lio b2b Nathan Barato, Belgian DJ Charlotte de Witte, Miami-based artist Danny Daze, techno artists Detlef b2b Latmun, Life and Death conceptualizer DJ Tennis, Berlin’s BPitch femme Ellen Allien, legendary artist Green Velvet, Toronto’s Detroit techno artist Greg Gow, Glasgow’s Jackmaster, Dirtybird’s Justin Martin, Anjunadeep’s Lane 8, Loco Dice, Nicole Moudaber, No.19 Music’s Co-Founder Nitin, Canada’s Noah Pred, Robert Babicz, Rodriguez Jr., Shelley Johannson, House act Shiba San, Montreal duo The Fitness & Pony, House music siblings The Martinez Brothers, and ADID frequenter YokoO.
As always, attendees will also be able to catch the finest of Toronto’s homegrown talent.
