Emerging onto the scene just under twelve months ago, it’s safe to say Irish brother duo Disfreq are making some well-earned noise amongst some of house and techno’s biggest names. Following a trio of outings on Patrick Topping’s Trick alongside material via REALM and Diynamic, the pairing now head to Eli Brown’s burgeoning Arcane imprint with their ‘Time Is Now’ EP – delivering two high-octane productions showcasing their up-front sound.
Title track ‘Time Is Now’ is an acid-drenched trip armed with tough kicks, warping melodies and commanding vocals, launching immediately into the peak time. ‘Turn Off’ takes things darker as the duo fuse spiralling synths, brooding baseline and eerie vocal snippets, shaping up a powerful EP already picking up early love from Nicole Moudaber, Alan Fitzpatrick, Marco Faraone, Luigi Madonna and more.
Disfreq ‘Time Is Now’ is now available via Arcane, with the EP available worldwide on 30th September 2022.
