CRSSD Festival is set to have its 2017 Fall event this coming weekend at Waterfront Park, San Diego, and it promises a city-spanning foray of world-class acts.
Following the announcement of its daytime program, the organizers recently announced its after-dark and warm-up programming for the event. FNGRS CRSSD’s own Bang Bang is set to welcome All Day Dream’s Lee Burridge for a Friday weekend opener. This is followed by a Saturday night DJ set from Breakbot, and a very special Sunday closing party with Richie Hawtin and guests. Music Box will also host a live set from Mura on Saturday and a Cut Copy DJ set alongside Gerd Jansen on the Sunday.
The labyrinthine halls of Spin will once again open its doors for CRSSD Festival. It will be the venue for a Saturday showing from Patrick Topping and KINK Live and a Sunday closing party from Solardo b2b Latmun. Chris Lake will take over El Camino for a Saturday night party, while Kettner Exchange continues the open air vibes with Bearson on Saturday afternoon and SAINT WKND on Sunday afternoon.
CRSSD Festival also revealed that it is collaborating with Richie Hawtin’s ENTER.Sake brand. This collaboration will provide attendees the opportunity to experience being in premium Sake Bar. Hawtin will also lead a special International Sake Day celebration on October 1 alongside the event with a series of food and Sake pairings and unique Sake cocktails. Attendees can expect a taste of ENTER’s signature ENTER.SAKE Black – Honjozo, the small batch brewed ENTER.SAKE Sookuu – Junmai, as well as the fragrant and aromatic ENTER.SAKE Silver – Junmai Ginjo.
Hawtin will also host a Sake Pouring Hour on the same day, where he will discuss his passion for Sake while pouring drinks and meeting fans. The International Sake Day celebrations will continue into the night with an intimate performance with Hawtin at Bang Bang. The venue itself, Bang Bang, is a performance venue built on the fusion of aural and edible exploration, where it will showcase world-renowned Techno and a finely tuned ENTER.Sake menu.
