Claude VonStroke Releases Lineup for Dirtybird Campout 2017

“Picture the good ole days, when sun-drenched hours flew by filled with outdoor adventures, life was no more complicated than trying to win at dodgeball or finding a new friend to sneak off with after dark. Yep, Summer Camp was pretty epic, but if only there had been house music!”

That’s the mindset that drove Claude VonStroke and his Dirtybird team to launch their hugely successful Dirtybird Campout, which returns this coming October for its third installment at a new and improved home in Central California. It’s a singular experience delivering three days of nostalgia inducing activities, soundtracked by some of the world’s most cutting edge DJs and live acts, all curated by Head Counselor and label boss Claude himself.

Today, VonStroke revealed those who will be joining him in October at Campout, turning late nights into early mornings at the after-hours stage and programming those sun filled afternoons at the Birdhouse. He also announced a brand-new second stage, allowing him to showcase the event’s biggest lineup yet featuring a wider selection of sounds and artists from soundscapes that range from contemporary house to hip-hop and several genres in between.

Joining the flock in 2017 will be Motor City techno icon Matthew Dear, the envelope pushing electronica of Danny Daze, a showcase from LA’s Soulection crew, a raucous tech-house session from the party starting Desert Hearts, unique live emotive dance floor fun from dOP, a FK A Genre takeover with Netsky, Mija, and Ryan Forever, plus a standout set from iconic electro hip-hop star Egyptian Lover. Drum n bass will be repped hard with Dj Marky, Manchester’s Madam X will bring her grime stylings, with the UK also repped by Benji B. Live trap smith araabMuzik, deeper shades of house from Jesse Rose, Lauren Lane, Cut Snake and Amtrac and Detroit’s Mike Servito are just a few of the other highlights.

Of course the Dirtybird core artists are also not to be missed, this year including Justin Martin, Walker & Royce, Christian Martin, Kill Frenzy, J.Phlip, Sacha Robotti, Shiba San, Eats Everything, Will Clarke, Worthy and Ardalan, rounding things up for what is bound to be one hell of a Campout.

While undoubtedly a music festival in the truest sense of the word. it’s the Campout’s off-dance floor activities with direct interaction with Dirtybird artists and guests that make it so unique. They include archery with J.Phlip, volleyball with Ardalan, sack racing with Christian Martin, arts and crafts with Worthy, dodgeball with Kill Frenzy, Justin Martin’s Wheel of Pizza Party or catching VonStroke cracking up at the late night comedy stage. All these activities are part of an overarching Bird Championship with all attendees joining a random color team and working together with old and new friends alike to bring home the trophy.

Claude scouted high and low for 2017’s new location, when he finally found sanctuary in the expansive hills of the San Antonio Campgrounds he knew instantly this land would be rightfully deemed “campout territory.” Located in Bradley, CA, Dirtybird Campout will be positioned right in the middle of San Francisco and Los Angeles making it easier for our northern campers to trek down.
