Tomorrowland Festival has released its full line-up and timetable for this year’s event, which stretches over three weekends, kicking off on July 15.
The final weekend, which stretches from July 29 through July 31, features Charlotte De Witte as the event’s first-ever techno act to close the main stage. She is also the festival’s first female act to do so.
“I’ve always had a special relationship with Tomorrowland,” Charlotte tells Mixmag. “I’ve been playing at their festival since 2011 and I feel like we’ve seen each other grow throughout the years.”
She also nods to the hosting of two stages by her imprint, KNTXT, which hosts names such as Indira Paganotto, Alignment, and Charlotte herself.
“I’m very proud to announce that this year, next to hosting two KNTXT Stages, I’ll be closing the Main Stage on Saturday 30th July,” she adds. “As the first techno act (and woman) to do this ever, this is something huge. Thank you for your trust. I’ll see you there!”
The Belgian producer and DJ, playing the festival in her home country, is fresh off the back of releasing her latest EP Universal Consciousness, and a 10-hour set in her hometown of Ghent.
