The organization announced a few days ago via their Facebook that it has lost one of its main venues, Club Guesthouse, due to legal concerns with safety and regulations exacerbated by the October fire at Colectiv club that killed more than thirty people.

The loss of this venue has consequently led to the cancellation of big acts like Ben UFO, Boddika, Mano Le Tough, and Nina Kraviz among others who were set to perform in Romania throughout the weekend. Control Club will host acts in its two-room setup for the duration of the festival. Here is the updated lineup schedule.

Interval issued the following statement regarding the venue closure:

We have a very important update to share with you. Unfortunately Club Guesthouse will no longer be part of Interval. Throughout the last month this club has been doing their best to implement all possible safety measures that both the new and old fire safety laws require in order for a club to legally function.

The owners of the club have personally contacted the authority responsible with fire safety but despite making all the necessary changes to follow the regulations and laws, they were not allowed to host our event in Guesthouse or any other events until their legal status is clear.
