Are you an artist in the electronic music space? Then 2022 has something in store for you. Beatport has announced a great opportunity for emerging artists. This past year and change has thrown more curveballs than a Boston Red Sox pitcher, but November 2021 will put you on the map for what’s to come the following year. Electronic music DJs and producers will have the chance to be a part of Beatport Next class of 2022. It welcomes up-and-coming artists to get a full year of dedicated support from the platform.
In 2021, Beatport kicked off its brand new artist accelerator program, Beatport Next, providing six emerging artists — TSHA, Kevin de Vries, Logic1000, VNSSA, Alignment, and IMANU — with a year of dedicated support. With 2021 coming to a close, Beatport is offering eight emerging artists from around the world the chance to join the Beatport Next class of 2022.
So what does the Beatport Next program do exactly, and how can it help bring more attention to your sound?
Over the course of the next 12 months, Beatport may provide its eight Beatport Next artists with homepage features, banners, and eye-catching placement for new releases throughout our store, featured LINK playlists, editorial coverage on Beatportal, live streams, and social media support. With Beatport Next, we’re deepening our commitment to supporting upcoming artists at various stages of their development, while strengthening their visibility and connection to Beatport’s global DJ community.
What are they looking for in an artist who wants to join the Beatport Next class of 2022?
With Beatport Next, they wish to cover a wide range of genres and scenes, so what you play and where you’re from doesn’t matter! Beatport values inclusivity.
Primarily, they are looking for artists who have signed to a few record labels or run their own imprint, are skilled and experienced DJs, have music currently available on Beatport, and have a heavy release schedule for 2022.
