ADE 2017 Will Feature Four Events With Focus on Asia

That Asia is the next big market for the electronic music world doesn’t surprise most people, certainly not us at 6AM who have been involved with the region since our beginnings.

This is reflected by the attention the region is getting during this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), set to take place October 18-22nd throughout the world-famous Dutch city.

This year the festival programme includes four separate events specifically focusing on Asia:

The first will be on Thursday 19 October, combining DJs and Taiwanese dishes at the Jaachi Night Market in Cinetol. The event will include special night market games, Taiwanese food and the best national talents in house, techno, breaks, dubstep, Future Bass, UK Grime, trap, hiphop and psychedelic world music.

Friday 20 October will see Asia’s leading techno name Nakadia, from Thailand, host ‘Nachtverblijf ADE – Nakadia & Friends’ and invite the best talents from China, Malaysia & Singapore at VLLA from 8-5pm for long house & techno sets where the very first 50 visitors get a free Singha beer, once again bringing various elements of Asian culture into play for the event.

On Saturday 21 October at VLLA, ‘Dagverblijf ADE – Nusantura Affair’ present the best talents from Indonesia playing next to Dutch DJs with Indonesian roots and Dutch artists Mason and Kamara.  This event showcases both Indonesi and the melting pot that is The Netherlands to perfection, with delicious Indonesian food served during a network event that already starts at 3pm that takes place in the beautiful outside garden of the VLLA venue for all who’d like to set up business with the Indonesians.

To conclude the series of events, on Sunday 22 October AMSbookings.ASIA will close this ADE week with ‘China Guanxi’ at De Bajes, a new venue focusing on street art that will see a focus on Chinese DJs and live-acts from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other fast growing cities where new clubs and festivals start up almost monthly. The event will see special guests and music pioneers Mickey Zhang & Ni Bing and Celia Club owner Jasmine Li, present, with the latter presenting her live-concept Sparkling Elements playing traditional Chinese instruments on house and techno.
