Introducing this week’s Guest Mix is Shanghai-born, New York-based singer-songwriter turned DJ/producer YU-YA — the new face in the underground scene. YU-YA has a talent for giving you the unexpected with other quick, thought-provoking hypnotic industrial tracks.
Being a shy person in real life, she uses music as an outlet to express and connect with human emotions while taking listeners on a profound trip through a myriad of colorful experiences and feelings.
Growing up in a strict Asian family where music wasn’t accepted to be a traditional career, she refused to let it stop her from following her dreams and moved from Shanghai to New York. During 2016-2018, she developed a live music event and blog series “INCHANT” highlighting local indie bands and singer-songwriters who came from her home country.

Now she is also the founder of a comfy-first lingerie brand “Seamless Lingerie” which aims to create a “comfort zone” for women’s self-expression and self-care.
