Gioh Cecato joins the 6AM Guest Mix series with a one-hour studio mix straight from her home in Miami Beach, FL. Dark but groovy basslines are what defines the unique sound of Gioh. Born in Brazil, At a young age, Gioh was introduced to electronic music at underground clubs in Brazil and from that point she was immediately hooked on the sound and vibe of techno.
After moving to Miami Beach, she expanded on her training and studied at Scratch DJ Academy (Music production); PUC RJ (Music and Business), with Dj ANNA & Wehba (Music Production Masterclass), and with Jacidorex (Acid Techno Masterclass) ; as well to enhance her skills. Graduated on all of those courses, she began to define her own sound while mastering the technical aspects of production.
Her first release was with “Déjà Vu Culture, a respected Indian Label; followed by her second release Altered States EP with Red Channel Records a Canadian Techno Label owned by DJ/Producer Tony Romanello. Her third release, “Escape from Reality” EP with “Descend Records”,from USA-FL. Gioh’s latest release “Dark Places”, was on TECHNO Brooklyn Records”, NYC.
With successful gigging in the North America, Gioh Cecato has shared the decks with great acts like: Dubfire, Reinier Zonneveld, Julian Jeweil, Anfisa Letyago, Oscar L, Popof, Matador, Kyle Watson,Chris Schweizer, Ace Ventura, among others. Enjoy the mix.
