Swedish techno maven Ida Engberg is a driving force in the techno scene, especially for women. This week’s Global Vibe Radio mix is an exclusive live set from Club Space Miami (2021).
As of 2022, Ida has been busy touring in the United States. In March alone, she has toured through Arizona, Texas, Los Angeles, and Miami for Miami Music Week.
Ida began her career when she was 18. After filling in for another DJ, she began getting regular night gigs at a club. Later she went to work at the Spy Bar, one of the most famous clubs in Stockholm. This big break eventually led her to work with fellow artists such as Roger Sanchez, John Dahlbäck, Sebastian Ingrosso, Eric Prydz, and many others.
Like any artist, Ida is passionate about promoting her projects, especially her paintings that she began promoting last year. When she’s not on stage, she finds peace and comfort by being a mother to her three children, practicing wellness and spirituality alongside her art, and being an amazing wife towards Adam Beyer, who is also a techno icon. To say that they are a perfect match is an understatement.
