Bringing an eclectic feel of underground techno, 2PSYCHED continues to release more on the self-created label Required Noise that he founded in 2020.
Born and raised in the Baltimore-Washington area as an American-Filipino, 2PSYCHED not only grew up with an appreciation for electronic music but for mental wellness as well. As a Graduate from the University of Maryland, 2PSYCHED began his journey in creating non-invasive ways to further bridge gaps that occur from mental wellness. Through understanding the process of how to bridge the gaps that occur from mental wellness, he began developing a greater community through leadership and management. Now, 2PSYCHED stands not only as a talented dj-producer but also as an experienced and registered acute psychiatric nurse.
What can be attributed to his artistic foundation was growing up listening to a wide range of genres, spending time around nightclubs as a promoter, and living in places such as: the Dutch-Netherlands Antilles, Chicago, and San Diego. As of now, 2PSYCHED is currently based in the Austin, Texas area alongside his independent label, Required Noise producing his self-created pieces.
Distributing music through various digital hubs such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Bandcamp, Beatport, and Soundcloud, one can easily recognize and find his music through his preferred musical categorization of, “minimal techno” and “minimal electronic.” With major influences from, but not limited to Robert Hood, Jeff Mills, Mark Broom, Radio Slave, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Joris Voorn, Boris Brejcha, and Oliver Huntemann, it’s no wonder that 2PSYCHED’s music is not only palatable but also worth playing on automatic repeat.
As for 2PSYCHED’s album, audiences can expect it to hit on all streaming services and digital distribution stores on February 11th, 2022.
