Premiere: Listen to 2 Tracks Off Of Noah Pred’s Forthcoming “Concrescence” LP on Biotop

Noah Pred readies to release his first full-length since 2013’s Third Culture. With meticulous studio skills honed over the course of a 20-year discography, Concrescence deploys a wealth of raw analog hardware and innovative digital processing through ten tracks of spacious yet intricate electro, hypnotic acid house, and rugged dubby workouts.

Referring to the process of “the growing together of parts originally separate” , the narrative thread of Concrescence is woven through Pred’s deft combination of disparate production techniques and stylistic approaches. Without vocalists on hand, Noah lets his machines do the talking, wielding them expressively in service of a clear aesthetic vision, evoking a wide range of images, emotions, and dreamlike states throughout the future-forward full-length.

We premiere two tracks from the LP for you today, which you can listen to in full below.

#TBT Series: Images of Tresor’s Location Inside Berlin’s Kraftwerk Power Station

Tresor, the iconic East Berlin techno club that opened on March 13th of 1991, is now located in the city’s Kraftwerk Power Station.

Over the past 25 years Tresor has created many historic moments in the musical and party history of the city. From Jeff Mills’ first sets on three turntables, to the grandiose Tresor Park parties, to various chapters of the Loveparade with Sven Väth in the 90s and since then countless generation-spanning parties, that represented for their visitors the highlights of their personal clubbing experiences. The history of the club was always eventful and not without complications: from the temporary closure by the authorities in the early years, to several raids, all the way to the closure and demolition of the old location in 2005, as well as the years of wandering in exile and the resurrection in the new location Kraftwerk Berlin.

The institution has released five images of their new more permanent location within the building. Spread across three floors, the unique location hosts parties with events taking place ever Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Lineups are techno-heavy with extreme focus on guest and resident acts that play high-caliber sets that go deep into the next morning. The pictures contained herein are of the floor in the venue that was used for Tresor’s 25 Year Anniversary weekend and other more one-off events such as Atonal, a space that will be used more often from now on on top of the existing rooms, which include the famous vault in the basement.

While you may recognize the space, as it has been used for sporadic larger scale events in the past as well as art exhibitions, Tresor has announced that it will be used more often as an event space for its techno-heavy lineups.

Check out some amazing previously unreleased images of the venue below and read here for more in-depth history of the club.

Premiere: Listen to Christian Bonori’s “Ison” From His “Molecular Structures” EP on Bush Records

The upcoming release from Bush Records features 5 tracks by Italian DJ & Producer Christian Bonori.

Molecular Structures EP is the producer’s techno statement after a year of silence and what a better comeback than getting support directly from Carl Cox who included Solid State in his latest BBC Essential Mix.

Bonori is well known in the national club scene, with a career of over 15 years DJing and over a dozen of releases depicting his passion for house and techno. Magazzini Generali, VOX Club and Maffia Club are some of the venues in Italy where he’s been a regular at.

Molecular Structures brings us into a stretched voyage of percussive and distinct techno sound with a meticulous affection for modular synthesizers, drum technologies and external gear. The confronted tracks’ pitch will feel alike, but yet very diverse and will unexpectedly swiftly take us to the end of the voyage, having perceived all ends of the symbolic techno “states”.
