Growing up on the East Coast, and receiving a well-rounded education in audio engineering, Finley prepared himself well for a life in music. His upbringing and musical tastes from his early life clearly shine through in his recent productions. With an affinity for “sexy music with swing”, Finley has locked in his sound and knows exactly the right way to service a dance floor.

The talented Brooklyn based producer recently stepped up for our recent edition of Global Vibe Radio, and brings forth an eclectic mix of smooth grooves, lush house music, and hypnotic club burners. Track of the Week: Sonny Fodera & Gene Farris- We Work It

Sonny_Fodera__amp__Gene_Farris

With all the festivities at this time of year, there’s always a few tracks that tend to be used over and over again. It’s not to be frowned upon, these tracks literally ignite the dance floor no matter how many times at any festival/club they’re played cause they’re just that good. From the deep forests of San Diego, to the glossy wooden dance floors of Exchange LA, I’ve heard this song just about everywhere. With such a mean groove and  cool party lyrics, it’s no wonder so many DJ’s love playing this track at the highlights of the night.

The house groove in this track definitely emulates that of a track from older times, not concentrating so much on the consistent use of bass frequencies, letting the simple kick drum do its job while the simple bass-line accentuates the groove.

Gene Farris and Sonny Fodera are not strangers to each other. They’ve released multiple collaboration and remixes with one another and also release on the same labels. It’s a spectacle to see how even two people from opposite sides of the planet can collaborate to make such homogenized musical ideas.

If you haven’t been out in a while, listen to this track and catch a glimpse of what you’ve been missing out on on the dance floor.

Oh hi, Desert Hearts! I’m so glad I met you, and this is crazy, but let’s be besties because I wanna keep that untz untz going.

One hundred hours of nonstop house, techno, and love at one of the most fun parties ever. Desert Hearts celebrated its third year anniversary with an unreal fall edition; this was my first Desert Hearts party and I was absolutely blown out of this mismatching psychedelic print universe with about a thousand variations of tech house popping at every minute. Download Free Deep Tech Grooves from the Fuse London Crew

Fuse2

Low ceilings, seductive vibes, and deep rolling grooves –  These are a few things that come to mind when thinking about the iconic crew that is Fuse London. Over the years Fuse and their respective residents have been on a mission to deliver a sound and clubbing brand that is rivaled by few, and as we approach the end of 2015 it is safe to say they have accomplished this. From London to Ibiza, and many cities far and wide, Fuse has left their mark on the global dance circuit.

Fuse London has offered up an early holiday gift to their fans, with a signature deep tech and tech house release available for free download. Enzo Siragusa, seasoned raver and generally wizard of dance floor debauchery, is at the helm with his track Dungeons and Dragons. Per usual, there’s an emphasis on the low end and percussions, with melodic dub textures finding their way into the arrangement every so often. Fellow Fuse resident, Rich NxT, steps up with Nonot, a vibe setting track well suited for the early evening attendees on the dance floor. Splinter is the gift from Seb Zito, and it’s absolutely loaded with hypnotic textures, a heavily modulated bass, and body swaying percussions that sum up the Fuse vibe perfectly. The complimentary EP is rounded off with a ten minute journey of a track by none other than Archie Hamilton. Ebb and Flow does just that; elements coexisting and playing off each other in a fun lighthearted way give this deep tech workout considerable value for the dance floor.

Enjoy the free downloads courtesy of Fuse, and make sure to stay connected with the label moving into the New Year.
